Martin Spring/Summer 2011 At MASH

Our admiration for the MASH SF brand should be pretty evident by now to regular readers; the San Francisco track bike crew has steadily been expanding their business ventures over the past few years, from beginnings as a film project to now having recently opened a retail storefront. Mike Martin has provided the main creative direction through MASH’s evolution, and also operates his own menswear line, blending cycle functionality and clean design in a way that should make his contemporaries very jealous. Here’s a look at the s/s 2011 offerings from Martin Clothing, as seen at the MASH e-store. So many standout pieces, and with very reasonable pricepoints it’s not surprising many are already sold through… keep reading for more.

Wants + Needs: Futura Laboratories x Descente S/S 2011

Lately, as I’ve been delving further and further in to the realm of ‘bike jock,’ I’ve been on the hunt for technical cycling wear that isn’t necessarily a) spandex or b) covered with logos from corporations I don’t support. This collection from two Japanese legends in Futura Laboratories and Descente would bridge that gap quite nicely. Performance-oriented gear by two labels know for their manufacturing quality, this collaborative run would suit my needs perfectly, wicking and breathing without making me look like ‘that guy’… keep reading for the rest of this awesome collection.

San Fran based HUF have been a stronghold in the skate/streetwear game with consistency and credibility that the line has maintained throughout the years. Roden Gray have teamed up with 01 Magazine to produce this great lookbook for their spring/summer 2011 women’s collection. The lookbook was photographed by Jennilee Marigomen, styled by Redia Soltis, and modelled by Alex Richardson. I am always a fan of Marigomen’s photographic style, she nails that vintage feel so well. The styling is also really on point, with great looks for the ladies for the warmer months. Keep reading for the rest of this impressive lookbook…

Baron Wells Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook

Here’s the spring/summer 2011 lookbook from Baron Wells. The label is based in New York, NY with all of their products being designed and made in New York. I love the overall simplicity of the collection, with a relaxed and easy-going vibe. I am also feeling the photography of the lookbook, done by Rob Kulisek, the style reminds me of a Jody Rogac for Dana Lee lookbook. Keep reading for the extensive and impressive collection…

Maiden Noir ‘Battlefield’ Collection S/S 2011

Seattle based Maiden Noir has released their newest collection titled Battlefield for the spring/summer 2011 season. The collection takes its influence from navy and military stylings, with a great selection of summer goods. I really like the two-tone short, the field jacket, and of course the accessories which I always like from the label. Available @ Haven.
