The MTL homies IDLEHAND are back with a new line of tees etc and this accompanying lookbook… the video may as well be titled ‘dudes with rad toys’ and hells yes, you know we back that. A lot of great people have a part of this ongoing project, cop in the shop when it gets the reup if you like the vibe.
Damn rights its starting to look like proper springtime out here in the Pac North West and the 84/85 boys are taking full advantage of it. As of late both Kevin and myself have been getting out as much as we can and doing all of the many things that take up our spare time, and here are a few pics from the last while from the both of us (as always you can follow us here and here).
Two dudes who are like brothers to me, this video features the newly renovated Brakeless on Parc Ave in Montreal, now home to Squire Barbering as well as the pre-existing bike shop. Shouts to Vitamin Water for profiling Syl and Rob, having just returned from a visit out east I’m 100% stoked for these two and what they’re doing in the Mile End.
Montreal label Deadwood reached out with this lookbook for the fall/winter 2012 season and we were quite happy with what we saw. The line is a “a merger of the canadian culture mixed with some darker influences,” and with that you know the 84/85 boys are down. The label keeps it simple with some good looking graphic tees, contrast pocket tees, a hoodie and a few unique accessories. Another strong point of note about the line is all of the items are either printed, casted and assembled in Canada. Read through for the rest of the lookbook and check their shop for the collection.
The collaboration between Sylvester from Brakeless and Meka, here’s the fall 2012 lookbook from Montreal’s Idlehand, a new venture following their Zombie Corp collection from a while back. From their about,
‘Street culture and responsibility: these are the themes at the heart of the first collection of IDLEHAND. Taking off where “Brakeless x ZOMBIEcorp” had left them, this first collection is as much a reference to the duos experiences within their motorcycle club than it is to their deep values: authenticity, positivity, and simplicity.’
Very excited that the video for Ango‘s lead single from the forthcoming Serpentine LP has dropped, directed by Paul Labonte and styled by Melissa Matos. The song Paralyzed was produced by Prison Garde and myself, and I’m very honored to be part of this project which includes tunes from other artists such as Jacques Greene, Kuedo, and Numan, as well as original Ango productions. The LP will be a free release on the 17th through LuckyMe, get ready for one of the most innovated R&B full-lengths of 2012.
This got me stoked when I was doing my bookmark rounds this morning… Meka from Idlehands / Dead Riders shot this GoPro vid of their 2011 run from MTL to NYC for the Brooklyn Invitational. The vid also features some of my favourite people in the world, Syl, Jesse, Yoan and Denis. Riding with your friends, there’s nothing better… just had a great weekend of that ourselves.
