Japan-based Parisian transplant Julien David has released this new lookbook for his spring/summer 2013 men’s collection. With a great mix of streetwear styles mixed with #menswear tailoring and high fashion fabrics the collection is unique in a sea of ‘similar fishes.’ Some of the looks are a bit much for a regular Joe like myself, most notable the man sarong but the majority of the items are on point, clean and simple. Really funny lookbook presentation as well, “hey lets go stand in front of some random Japanese beach and put on some weird clothes,” works for me.

Big John Autumn/Winter 2011

I know its pretty much the end of the autumn/winter 2011 season but I couldn’t let this collection from Big John jeans fall by the wayside. This is another Japanese label that takes classic American workwear/utilitarian styles and reinterprets them. I would mess with this entire collection head to toe, nothing overdone just straight up hit after hit. Read through for a few more looks…

KATO’ Autumn/Winter 2011 Lookbook

Japanese label KATO’ has recently released their new lookbook for the autumn/winter 2011 season. Head designer Hisoshi Kato got his start producing denim back in the mid 90’s, making American replica style jeans all produced in Japan from the finest fabrics and materials. Here is a look at the a/w ’11 collection from KATO’ which is really solid, fusing both military and workwear styles, hitting all the right notes for me. Keep reading for a detailed look at the full collection…

WTAPS 2011/2nd ‘Way of Life’ Collection

WTAPS brings the heat again with their 2011/2nd collection entitled Way of Life. The run has a great mix of workwear, military and rockabilly styled pieces, all constructed with the best materials and quality craftsmanship. The standout piece for me from is the Lumberjack made from Harris Tweed (pictured first), but it is all on point. Another impressive collection from designer TET with his WTAPS label.

Bluco Work Garment Fall/Winter 2011

Japanese workwear label Bluco Work Garment have released their collection for this fall/winter 2011 season. The label is workwear oriented with nods to classic American stylings and motorcycle culture. The run for the fall/winter 2011 season features great pieces like the submarine utility jacket, stormrider jacket, the Nel Hood Shirt, Work Vest and the interesting Wet Parka which is a neoprene hoody. The collection is ultra solid from top to bottom, keep reading for more looks…

South 2 West 8 Fall/Winter 2011 Lookbook

The kings of outdoors obscure, South 2 West 8 are back at it with this look at their fall/winter 2011 collection. Once again the line sticks to its strong outdoors roots with ‘classic outdoor detailed modern fashion wear.’ This lookbook is shot outdoors in snowy conditins as well as in their retail space, which is beyond impressive, featuring huge game heads on the walls and full sized taxidermied bears. I can always get down with the S2W8 collections, though a bit strange at points all the pieces have their specific functions and are odes to classic outdoors styles. Another impressive collection from the S2W8 camp, full looks after the jump…

Waste(twice) Fall/Winter 2011

Here is a look at Waste(twice) and their fall/winter 2011 collection. This is another solid collection top to bottom, from the great looking outerwear, fisherman-style knits, work shirts, trousers and accessories. I am loving the look featured above with the tan puffer jacket and knit sweater. I also really like the accessories, with what appears to be a Filson collaboration on the bags. Another great offering from Waste(twice) for the f/w season, keep reading for all the looks…
