Deluxe Spring/Summer 2012

Straightforward superclean lookbook from Deluxe for s/s 2012, entitled Sugar & Rum, mixing a striped-back 50’s aesthetic with modern streetwear fits. Some really standout looks here, namely the top left shot, with everything really wearable for the dapper urban chap who may not mind getting made fun of a little bit behind his back by likely jealous male counterparts. Deluxe Fall/Winter 2011

One of our favorite Japanese labels here at 84/85, Deluxe has just released this look in to their f/w 2011 collection, entitled Born Of The Cool. Not straying too far from the styling that has made the line such a standout over the past few seasons, this run utilizes a bit more pattern, with my personal highlights being the camo pieces featured above. Combining a wide range of influences is what makes Deluxe so appealing, bridging gaps from streetwear through to classic prep… click through for more.

Deluxe Spring/Summer 2011 Catalog

Here is a look at Japanese label Deluxe and their spring/summer 2011 collection catalog entitled ‘Muddy Town.’ This collection continues with the 50’s and 60’s rocker-style references seen in their previous seasons as well. I really like the general simplicity of the collection, classic pieces with some subtle and interesting details. The styling and model choices are also very fitting with the collection itself making for another great looking overall presentation from the label. Keep reading for the full looks…

Deluxe Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

It seems that all I have been interested in is Japanese menswear labels as of late, sp keeping in the same vain here is the upcoming f/w 2010 collection from Japanese label Deluxe. The line has been sticking to a strong theme over the last few seasons with influence coming from 50’s and 60’s greaser and rockabilly styling. The fall/winter 2010 collection titled ‘Rambler’ is full of those looks with tapered short cut pants, varsity jackets, plaids, and motorcycle jackets and boots. The styling and model choice for the lookbook are very fitting and complimentary to the collection. Keep reading for the full preview…

Deluxe Spring/Summer 2010

Deluxe is a another Japanese line that has been catching my attention over the last little while. I have only seen glimpses here and there from the new line, and was always happy with what I saw. They recently added their spring/summer lookbook to their site giving an in depth look at the collection. Titled “1956,” the collection takes its influence from 50’s styles with bowling shirts, high rise trousers and short cut pants. The saddle shoes and argyle socks really set the looks off and give them that authentic look. I love it when a line takes an aesthetic and works it so well, and that is exactly what Deluxe has done with their “1956” collection. Keep reading for more looks…
