Bolts Action: EDR

The Bolts crew made the trip to the Baja for the 2013 El Diablo Run and shot this  vid along the way. It’s moto road trip season and plans have been hatched. Tune that problem maker up and hit the highway, pack light, and remember that you can’t get lost if you never set a course to begin with.

Highland Park Spring/Summer 2013

Highland Park is a new brand to be featured here on 84/85. The Japanese outdoors/camping brand takes its inspirations for the SS13 season from the easy going, free living days of the 1970’s camping scenes in and around Yosemite National Park. While the brand pays homage to the old days of camping their products feature modern cuts, fabrics and details giving the collection a heritage look with modern functionality. Great lookbook, with some choice looks, makes me want to get out and camp this weekend, who’s down?

andwander Spring/Summer 2013

Time to get into some Japanese camp styles with this spring /summer 2013 lookbook from andwander. Always feeling the line’s take on modern technical garments and gear. A small but concise lookbook for the season, featuring their outdoors apparel, both clothing and bags. This gets me hyped for spring camping, come on nice weather!

Motorcycle Monday

It’s Monday, you’re back at work and summer is almost over (although here on the west coast it seems like it might keep going forever). There’s a good chance your motorcycle trips for the season are behind you, and that’s a tough reality to accept, 6 months of grey, cold, snow and rain until we can do it again. So here’s 4 vids to keep you occupied while you remember the good times over the past few months and the adventures yet to come. Sourced from Bolts, 4Q, LLTK and Cycle Zombies.

Triple Aught Design Fall 2012

Fall 2012 lookbook from San Francisco’s Triple Aught Design, one of the best high-technical lines out of North America with a great eye toward unparalleled function intersecting with styling that works in the city as well (well, if tech is your game in the first place). I love everything TAD does and it’s no surprise a lookbook consisting of motorcycle camping in the desert would be right up my alley… great to see the line pushing their presentation as much as their apparel.

Light My Fire: Product Range 2011

Light My Fire is a Swedish camping accessories company that specializes in products that create fire and the implements used to eat and prepare what ever it is that you will be cookin’ up in the backwoods or your own backyard. The company’s most popular products are the Spork and the Firesteel 2.0, which is a fire-starting device that works in the harshest conditions, both wet and dry. All the products seen in their range are made and designed in Sweden, with emphasis on low-tech, high quality, durable goods. Check the video below for demos (I recommend muting it) and keep reading for a look at the other products in their line, ranging from mealkits, knives, salt and pepper shakers to tinder sticks…

Topo Designs: New Products Fall/Winter 2011

Colorado based Topo Designs has been turning out a few new products to accompany the rest of their fall/winter 2011 collection.  The new products featured are the Camp Blanket, Cinch Bag and the Shelter Shirts. The Camp blanket is a classic style wool blanket in red with a black stripe detail. The Cinch Bag is a small waist or over the shoulder bag meant to carry your small everyday items, very reminiscent of rock climbing chalk bags. Finally there are the Shelter Shirts, featuring prints of classic outdoors shelters such as Geodomes and A-Frames. All the products, like the rest of the collection, are made in the U.S.A. Keep reading for a few more images of the Camp Blanket and the Cinch Bag.
