Burkman Bros Fall/Winter 2011 Lookbook

Looking just so wildly on-point for f/w 11, Burkman Bros continues to blend a wide range of influences in to their collections, fusing elements of Japanese high street, American sportswear, 70’s mountaineering, and militaria, all finished off with their distinctive styling. And while the looks are a little over the top to rock on a day-to-day basis, the collection is packed with ridiculously amazing individual pieces, like say everything in the two shots featured above (expect perhaps the brim toque). The obsessive attention to detail is really what sets Burkman Bros apart from their contemporaries; yet another solid offering from the Canadian brothers, who continue to impress season after season. Hit the jump for the rest of the lookbook.

Burkman Bros. Spring/Summer 2011

Here’s a look at the Burkman Bros spring/summer 2011 presentation, in which the collection has a huge nautical theme seen throughout. I really like the great use of pattern and fabrics, also the Ralph Lauren-esque all-over embroidery prints are great. However, I am not entirely into the presentation and styling of the lookbook, it just doesn’t really do it for me. But all in all this is another impressive collection from the Canadian Brothers, keep reading for the full lookbook…

Burkman Bros Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook

We featured the video preview for this collection waaay back here, and now Burkman Bros has finally released the full lookbook for their fall/winter 2010 line, entitled Himalayan High. An all-around solid collection of mountaineering and workwear-inspired pieces, the NYC-via Canada label always adds their signature flourishes of unexpected patterns and slightly off-kilter styling. Burkman Bros. has been solid season after season, and this lineup is no different… keep reading for more.

Burkman Bros. Fall/Winter 2010 Video Preview

Here is a striking stop-motion animated presentation for Burkman Bros. fall/winter 2010 collection, entitled ‘Himalayan High.’ We’ve been big proponents of the label for a while now, both for the clean, classic designs, and for the fact that the designer brothers are expat Canadians. This collection is looking varied, but remains true to the label’s direction and overall aesthetic since their beginning… definitely one to look for come fall.

Burkman Bros. Spring/Summer 2010

One of our favorite lines going (made better by the fact the brothers are Canadian), Burkman Bros. return with a gorgeous looking new collection for spring/summer 2010. I love the mixing of patterns, from florals to plaid to tigers, with a good dose of solids thrown in as well. The distinctly South East Asian feel of the collection blends with the current trending in menswear (workwear and Americana) to create a fairly unique aesthetic, something hard to come by in such a saturated market. I would definitely rock most of these looks (without the hightops sneaks), especially when the weather hits 25 C+. Keep reading for more from the collection.

Burkman Bros. S/S 09

01Canadian boys who made good, Doug and Ben Burkman are showing a new side of high-end casual. the brothers honed their skills designing for the Gap before leaving to launch their brand Burkman Bros. seeing that at some point flannels will become nighttime outerwear, I could definitely use a few of these plaid cotton shirts for day-to-day usage. paired with lighter washed jeans or khakis, cuffs, boatshoes, and white t’s, I see my summer wardrobe coming together quite nicely. more spring/summer 09 shots after the jump
